Correct Operation And Maintenance Of Jaw Crusher

The operation and maintenance of the jaw crusher is very important. Incorrect operation is often an important cause of accidents. Today we are talking about things that are smashing utilization, production costs, business economics and equipment life – the precautions in operation and maintenance.

1. Preparation Before Driving

  • (1) Check whether the main components are intact, whether the connecting parts such as fastening bolts are loose, and whether the safety device is complete;
  • (2) Check whether the feeding equipment, conveying equipment, electrical equipment, etc. are in good condition;
  • (3) Check if the lubrication device is good;
  • (4) Check if the cooling water pipe valve is open;
  • (5) Check if there is any ore or debris in the crushing chamber to ensure that the crusher starts at no load.

2. Start And Normal Operation

  • (1) Driving according to the operating rules, that is, the driving sequence is the reverse production process;
  • (2) When starting the main motor, pay attention to the current meter indication on the control cabinet. After 20-30s, the current will drop to the normal working current value;
  • (3) adjusting and controlling the feeding to make the feeding uniform, and the material particle size does not exceed 80%-90% of the width of the feeding port;
  • (4) The temperature of the general sliding bearing should not exceed 60 °C, and the temperature of the rolling bearing should not exceed 70 °C;
  • (5) When the electrical equipment is automatically tripped, if it is not clear, it is forbidden to forcibly start continuously;
  • (6) When mechanical failures and personal accidents occur, stop immediately.

3. Precautions When Parking

  • (1) The parking sequence is opposite to the driving sequence, that is, operating in the direction of the production process;
  • (2) The lubrication and cooling system must be stopped after the crusher is stopped. In the winter, the circulating cooling water in the bearing should be released to prevent the bearing from being cracked.
  • (3) After the shutdown, it is necessary to clean and check the various parts of the machine.

4. Lubrication

  • (1) The rod bearing of the jaw crusher, the eccentric shaft bearing, and the elbow of the thrust plate are lubricated with lubricating oil. In the summer, it is more suitable to use No. 70 mechanical oil, and in the winter, No. 40 mechanical oil can be used. If the crusher is working continuously and has o

  • (2) Most of the connecting rod bearings and eccentric shaft bearings of large and medium jaw crushers are pressure cycle lubrication. It is a gear oil pump (or other type of oil pump) driven by an electric motor, and the oil in the oil storage tank is pressed into a lubrication part such as a bearing through a pressure oil pipe. The lubricated lubricating oil flows into the oil collector and is sent back to the storage tank from the sloped return line.
  • (3) Oil temperature heaters can be preheated and used in winter.
  • (4) When the oil pump suddenly fails, the crusher needs 15-20 minutes to stop because of the large swinging force. At this time, the oil pump should be used to press the oil to keep the bearing lubricated without accident causing the bearing to burn out.

5. Inspection And Maintenance

  • (1) Check the heat of the bearing. Because the bearing alloy used for casting the bearing bush can work normally below 100 °C, if it exceeds this temperature, it should be stopped immediately to check and eliminate the fault. The inspection method is as follows: if there is a thermometer on the bearing, you can directly observe the indication number. If the thermometer is not installed, you can use the hand mold, that is, put it on the tile shell by hand, and it will not be able to hold it for about 5 seconds. Both exceed 60 ° C.
  • (2) Check if the lubrication system works normally. Listen to the operation of the gear oil pump for the impact sound, etc. Look at the value of the oil pressure gauge, check the oil volume in the fuel tank and whether the lubrication system leaks oil. If the oil quantity is not enough, it should be replenished in time.
  • (3) Check if the oil returning from the oil return pipe contains dirt such as fine metal, if it should be stopped immediately, open the bearing and other lubrication parts.
  • (4) Check if the connecting parts such as bolts and flywheel keys are loose.
  • (5) Check the wear of the seesaw and transmission parts, whether the tension spring has cracks and whether the work is normal.
  • (6) Always keep the equipment clean, so that there is no accumulation of dust, no oil, no oil leakage, no water leakage, no leakage, no leakage of dust, especially attention to dust and other debris must not enter the lubrication system and lubrication parts, because on the one hand They will damage the lubricating oil film, causing the device to lose lubrication and increase wear. On the other hand, dust and other debris itself is an abrasive, which will accelerate the wear of the device and shorten the life of the device.
  • (7) Regularly clean the filter of the lubricating oil with gasoline. After cleaning, wait until it is completely dry before continuing to use.
  • (8) Regularly change the oil in the fuel tank and replace it every six months. This is because the lubricating oil is exposed to air (oxygen) and heat during use (the temperature is increased by 10 ° C, its oxidation rate is doubled), and there is dust, moisture or fuel infiltration, and other reasons. And the aging is deteriorating, so that the oil loses its lubricating properties. Therefore, it is necessary to reasonably choose to replace the lubricating oil cycle, and it is not possible to deal with it.
